Winter 2017 registration for aquatics programs

Online program registration for the winter 2017 session begins on November 28 at noon for Côte Saint-Luc residents— which is one day before the in-person registration evening on November 29 at 6 pm. That means you get a one-day head start when you register for programs online. Be sure to set up your online account beforehand. Visit CoteSaintLuc.org/registeronline to learn how.

Aquafitness

Aquafitness is a comprehensive water-based program that incorporates light impact exercises and music to develop and improve your cardiovascular capacity and condition your muscles.

I Can Swim Pre-School and Swim School swimming lessons

I Can Swim Pre-School lessons will introduce children to the water. The goal is to ensure children are safe, relaxed and having fun while still learning and improving in the water. For children 4 months to 5 years old.

I Can Swim, the Swim School program is a progressive three-stage program. Teaches swimmers 54 important water skills, and focuses on seven major skill progressions: butterfly, backstroke, free-style, water safety, entries and turns. Swimmers learn to put together whole skill-sets, one step at a time. For children 5 to 16 years old.

Lifeguard-In-Training

This program provides an introduction to lifesaving. It includes the Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross courses.

Ages 13+ who have successfully completed Red Cross Level 10 or an equivalent

 

 

Red Cross Swim School  

Certified by the Red Cross, the Swim School program is for children ages 6 to 16. Swimming and water safety skills are taught in the water so that kids are always active. This approach promotes success and encourages lifelong fitness. A focus on individual achievement creates a cycle of success geared to all kids. All programs are 10 weeks.

Pre-School Swimming Lessons

Certified by the Red Cross, the Pre-School Swimming Lessons are for children ages 4 months to 5 years. Children enter at one of eight levels based on age and then progress based on either age or ability. Eight levels increase opportunity for parents and their children to take swimming and water safety lessons at an earlier age. All programs are 10 weeks.

Adult Swimming Lessons

Three levels are offered:

  • Beginner for those who cannot swim on their own.
  • Intermediate for those with some knowledge and skills.
  • Stroke Improvement for those who want to perfect their strokes and work on endurance.

Swim Team NEW!

The Côte Saint-Luc summer swim team competes against other pools of the North Shore Aquatics Association. The team welcomes swimmers of all ages, provided they can swim a 25-metre lap and are comfortable in deep water.

Masters Swimming Team

For swimmers ages 18 and older looking to improve their fitness and stroke technique. No previous competitive swimming experience required. Must be comfortable in deep water.

Synchronized Swimming 

A sport combining grace and beauty with strength and endurance. Must be comfortable in deep water.
 
 

 

Triathlon Team

For adults 18 and older who want to improve their physical fitness, endurance and performance. Each week participants will partake in two coached swims, one group bike ride and one group run. All activities are supervised by experienced coaches. No previous triathlon experience required. Must be comfortable swimming in deep water. 
 

 

Note: Private lessons are offered through Côte Saint-Luc programming. No unscheduled private lessons are allowed. If you are interested in renting lesson time outside of the scheduled time please contact 514-485-6806 ext 2200 or recreation@cotesaintluc.org.
