Bicycles

  • SOS Vélo reclaims used bicycles at their location at 2085 Bennett, Montreal or call them to arrange for pickup at 514-251-8803.

Clothing

The following organizations accept all sorts of clothing, including shoes, boots, coats, long johns, blankets, baby and children's clothing. Some organizations welcome toiletries, personal grooming and hygiene supplies as well. Contact the individual organizations for more information.

Computer Equipment

  • Computer equipment must be brought to one of the Eco-centres. However, computers taken to the Eco-centres are not reused, so it’s a good idea to check with local schools, daycares, after-school programs or community groups to see if they could use computers that are are still in working condition.
  • The Electronic Recycling Association will pick up your old computers, and redistribute them to non profit organizations and learning institutions. Fill out their online form to arrange for pickup.

Eyeglasses

  • OneSight takes donations of gently used eyeglasses. You can drop them off at any Lenscrafters. OneSight recycles them and redistributes them to those in need.

Some organizations may also accept household, cleaning and kitchen supplies. Contact the individual organizations for more details.

Toys

  • Renaissance Quebec accepts used toy donations. Enter your postal code on their website to find the drop-off center or bin nearest to you.
  • The Salvation Army accepts used toy donations at any of their store locations, or contact them at 514-935-7425 ext. 230 or 232 if you live in the Montreal area to arrange a pickup.
