Public anti-harassment policy

The City of Côte Saint-Luc’s programs and facilities are places that promote learning, leisure, and respect in a safe environment. All users and staff have the right to be safe and feel safe while attending a program or facility. The purpose of this policy is to improve the safety and leisure environment in all Côte Saint-Luc Parks and Recreation facilities, parks, programs, and other city installations.

Zero tolerance

The City of Côte Saint-Luc will not tolerate violence, vandalism, or inappropriate behaviour in any of its programs and facilities.

This policy applies to:

  • Coaches
  • Parents
  • Players
  • Spectators
  • Visitors
  • Staff
  • Volunteers

Guidelines

  • Respect for yourself
  • Respect for others
  • Responsibility for all your actions

Reporting incidents

Incidents involving the following should be reported immediately to your program supervisor or facility manager on site, or within 24 hours to the administration office at 514-485-6806 or 7500 Mackle Road, Côte Saint-Luc, Quebec, H4W 1A6 :

  • Verbal assaults
  • Threats or agressive behaviour
  • Physical assault
  • Use of alcohol or drugs
  • Vandalism
  • Theft
  • Harassment

If an incident occurs in a community association program where staff may not be available, report the situation to your organization representative and a city representative at 514-485-6806.

Consequences

Individuals who engage in any unacceptable behaviour may, depending on the severity, be barred immediately from the premises, and if necessary, suspended for a period of time from all programs and facilities.
