Environmental Awareness Patrol: Blue Patrol and Green Patrol agents 
(Regroupement des Éco-quartiers) 
The work involves raising awareness within the population of Montreal on various environmental issues, including water management, waste management and urban forest management. Patrols are college or university students welcomed to work from Mai 1 to June 2 as Blue Patrol and possibly extend the mandate as Green Patrol from June 6 to August 15, 2017.
In close collaboration with the City Public Works Department team, the patroller carries out various awareness-raising and environmental education activities, including door-to-door tours, kiosks in public places and activities in day camps. The patroller also participates in a variety of projects executed by the Department. The patrollers receive training on environmental education and awareness themes and techniques. Several Patrollers have free access to a BIXI during their term.

Starting date: May 1
End of term: June 2, 2017 (Blue Patrol)
Possibility of extension from June 5 to August 15, 2017 (Green Patrol)

Salary: $ 13.25 / hour

Work schedule: 32 hours / week (with possibility of working evenings and weekends)

• study in a field related to the environment, political science, communications, sociocultural
animation, or in any field deemed relevant;
• aged between 17 and 30 (INCLUSIVELY) at the time of employment;
• had been enrolled as a full-time student during the previous school year and expect to
pursue full-time studies during the subsequent academic year;
• be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or designated refugee under the Immigration
and Refugee Protection Act;
• be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with the laws and regulations in force
in the province or territory concerned. 

• Work experience in a field related to employment;
• Teamwork experience;
• Experience in animation (day camp, etc.);
• Bilingualism (or more);
• Interest in municipal policy;
• Volunteer experience;
• Involvement within community organizations;
• Be comfortable in cycling and have a bike helmet.
