Public Libraries Week in CSL offers something for everyone 

In celebration of Quebec Public Libraries Week 2017, join us for a compelling story of family secrets and mystery on Wednesday, October 25 at 2 pm. 

Jan Gregory presents: Ask No Questions: Family Secrets. Held in collaboration with the 14th edition of Montreal’s Intercultural Storytelling Festival, this event is free of charge and not to be missed! Join us beforehand, beginning at 1:30 pm for light refreshments.

If you have ever wanted to try your hand at Origami, now is the chance! Indra Singh will be holding a beginner’s workshop at the Library on Thursday, October 26 at 2 pm. Registration is required. The cost is $10 for library members and $15 for non-members. 

On October 24, at 2 pm, join our popular Bright Lights film Club for a screening of the film “Fences”. Witness the tour-de force 2017 Oscar-winning performances by both Denzel Washington and Viola Davis. This will be followed by lively discussion led by Gayle Cohen, BFA.

Later on October 24, at 7 pm Pediatric consultant Tracy Braunstein will be holding a sleep seminar to talk to parents about the key elements needed to provide a healthy foundation of sleep for your baby. This event is free of charge.

Last but not least, on Sunday, October 24 at 3 pm, come discover the world of aviation with a Stratos Aviation pilot and get to build the best paper airplanes. Children ages 8 to 12 will learn how airplanes fly. Registration required is required. The bilingual event is free for members and cots $5 for non-members.
