Parking tolerance

A parking tolerance is in effect from Friday, December 21 at 5 pm to Monday, January 7 at 8 am, which means the city won't enforce the usual prohibition against parking your vehicle overnight on city streets. The city will also not enforce the prohibition against parking in areas with alternate side of the street parking and daytime hours parking restrictions.

However, the city will continue to enforce all other parking rules including parking within 5 meters of the corner, within 5 meters of a fire hydrants, within 5 meters of a crosswalk, in fire lanes, in front of driveways, in no-stopping zones or anywhere else when parking is never permitted. Also, the city will enforce temporary no-parking signs (eg, orange signs placed before snow clearing operations).
