This is Mitchell Brownstein with a health and safety update related to Covid-19.

This week, the City of Côte Saint-Luc launched a referral service to connect residents like you with activities and services from community organizations. Our goal is to help reduce social isolation during the pandemic and beyond. In a moment, I’m going to tell you where to find a list of organizations that offer activities you will enjoy. So, grab a pencil.

Our list includes organizations that provide activities related to mental health and wellness, including counselling and crisis management, daily phone calls, spirituality, religion, cooking, job hunting, music, art, fitness, and much more.

There are two ways to find the list. You can visit CoteSaintLuc.org and then look for the words Community Activities near the top of the page. Or you can call the public library reference desk. The number is 514-485-6900. Then press 2. Then press 3. You can leave your number and they’ll call you back.

The City also offers our own activities and events to brighten your day. You can find links to those events at our website as well.

I know that many people have spent their life taking care of others and find it hard to make time for themselves. But you need to. Please take the first step by looking at all the wonderful services offered.

Before too long, we’ll all be together again. Until then, take care of yourself.
