Public consultation meeting for the amendment of zoning by-law No. 2217

PUBLIC NOTICE
PUBLIC CONSULTATION MEETING

RE: BY-LAW 2217-JJJ-P1 TO AMEND THE ZONING BY-LAW NO. 2217 OF THE CITY OF CÔTE SAINT-LUC IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE CURRENT TABLES OF USES AND NORMS FOR ZONES CC-3, CD-1, CD-3 AND CD-8 WITH NEW TABLES OF USES AND NORMS

TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE DRAFT BY-LAW NUMBERED 2217-JJJ-P1 AND ENTITLED:

“By-law 2217-JJJ-P1 to amend the zoning By-Law No.2217 of the City of Côte Saint-Luc in order to replace the current tables of uses and norms for zones CC-3, CD-1, CD-5 and CD-8 with new tables of uses and norms”

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that following the adoption by resolution of the above-mentioned draft by-law at a Regular Council Meeting held on Monday, March 14, 2022, the City of Côte Saint Luc will hold a 15-day written consultation from March 23, 2022, to April 7, 2022, regarding the proposed by-law amendment.

In conformity with Provincial Order in Council No. 2021-054, any procedure, other than a referendum, that is part of the decision-making process of a municipal body and that involves the movement or gathering of citizens can be replaced by a 15-day written consultation. Consequently, any person may submit his or her comments in writing regarding this draft by-law no later than April 7, 2022, as follows:

  • By mail to the attention of the City Clerk’s Office located at 5801, Cavendish Boulevard, Côte Saint-Luc, H4W 3C3; or
  • By email at the following address: [email protected].

The object of the by-law is to replace the current table of uses and norms for zones CC-3, CD-1, CD-5, and CD-8 with new tables of uses and norms in order to add institutional use to the said zones. The amendment will allow religious institutions to operate in the commercial centers located within these zones. A plan of the concerned zones as well as the contiguous zones is annexed herewith to form an integral part thereof, to avail herein as if quoted hereinafter at length. The concerned zones and the contiguous zones can be summarized as follows:

Any person can consult detailed documentation concerning the draft by-law on the City’s website at the following link: CoteSaintLuc.org/engage and copies of the draft by-law can be provided by sending a request to the following email address: [email protected]. This draft by-law will also be available for consultation at the City Hall, located at 5801 Cavendish Boulevard, during regular office hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The first draft by-law contains provisions making the by-law subject to approval by way of a referendum. A notice providing the information pertaining to the applicable procedure concerning the approval by way of a referendum will be given by the City following the adoption of the second draft by-law.
