Côte Saint-Luc launches referral service to help connect residents with organizations that can help

The City of Côte Saint-Luc today launched a referral service to connect residents looking for activities and services to the community organization that provide them.

The Community Activities and Services Directory is available at CoteSaintLuc.org/referral-service, or by calling the Côte Saint-Luc Public Library reference desk at 514-485-6900 (press 2 then press 3).

“The pandemic has disrupted people’s routines and disconnected them from others,” Mayor Mitchell Brownstein said. “We offer a lot of activities by phone, Zoom, and YouTube. But that’s just a portion of everything available in our community. That’s why we created a list of organizations with details on the kinds of activities and services they offer. The goal is to help point residents in the right direction.”

Each organization in the directory provides the categories of activities or programs they offer, such as music, history, cooking, books and reading, job hunting, current events and more. Users can filter the results to see which organizations offer activities they’re interested in.

“The goal of this referral service and directory is to help reduce social isolation during the pandemic and beyond,” Mayor Brownstein said. “We have outstanding community partners, such as our social clubs, the Cummings Centre, and the churches and synagogues. We want to make sure our residents know about what’s available so they can have meaningful activities—initially via their tablet and smartphone, but eventually in person once the pandemic is over.”

Organizations serving the Côte Saint-Luc area are invited to add their information to the directory. For more information on how to submit information, contact [email protected].
