Poll workers work primarily at polling places, that is, where electors go to vote. During an election, poll workers are on the front line and make it possible for electors to vote in an orderly fashion.
PRIMO (Polling Station Supervisor)
Represent the Returning Officer to all persons involved in the election process. See to the proper conduct of the poll. Ensure access to the polling stations. See to it that only one elector at a time is admitted to a polling station. Supervise and evaluate the election officers within the polling place. Address any question or problem and inform the Returning Officer of any situation requiring his intervention. Ensure that only persons authorized to be present at the polling station are on the premises at closing time. Ensure that, at the end of the day of the advance poll and of the polling day, the Deputy Returning Officers deliver to the Returning Officer the documents relating to the polling results. Act as member of the Identity Verification Panel if necessary.

Assistant to the PRIMO
Assist the PRIMO and replace him or her when needed. Act as member of the Identity Verification Panel if necessary. Welcome electors. Ensure the accessibility of polling stations and facilitate the movement of voters in the polling place. See to it that only one elector at a time is admitted to a polling station. Ensure compliance with the social distancing standards and the public health measures that are in effect.

Reception Clerk
Receive the electors and ensure that they are on the electoral list. Lead the elector with no identification to the Identity Verification Panel. Direct the elector to the appropriate polling station.

Remuneration:
- $220/day
Deputy Returning Officer
See to the arrangement of the polling station. Ensure that polling proceedings are properly conducted and maintain order in his polling station. Facilitate the exercise of the right to vote and ensure the secrecy of the vote. Receive the identification produced by electors. Hand the elector the ballot papers. Proceed with the counting of the votes. Transmit the result of the vote and remit the ballot box the PRIMO of a polling place.

Poll Clerk
Record the polling proceedings in the poll book. Indicate on the printed list of electors that a person has received a ballot paper from the Deputy Returning Officer. Assist the Deputy Returning Officer.

Member of the Identity Verification Panel
Verify the identity of electors who have been unable to produce one of the papers prescribed by law.

Remuneration:
- $175/day
Substitute
Receive the training to replace, if necessary, any electoral officer who would be unable to act. Receive the remuneration of the person it replaces, if applicable, or the minimum established.

- Must be reachable at all times during the day on Advance Polling days or on Polling Day
