The city is attempting to clear a clogged drain into which flows water from the chalet. It is this clogged pipe that forced the city to turn off water at the chalet and wading pool. As of Tuesday July 9, the clearing of the drain under the park–which extends towards the city sewer–is not yet complete. As soon as the drain becomes unclogged, the city will be able to turn on the water at the chalet and wading pool.

During the clearing of the drain, the team found evidence of baby wipes, which got caught onto the roots that had infiltrated the inside of the pipe wall. This is a good reminder on why one should never flush baby wipes down any toilet.
