Residents on the upper floors of certain high-rise buildings in Côte Saint-Luc — mainly from the 11th floor and up — may be experiencing low water pressure.
This is due to ongoing work by the City of Montréal on the water network combined with the current high temperatures. In simple terms:
- Water network work reduces the system’s supply capacity.
- Hot weather increases demand (more showers, pool filling, lawn watering).
When supply is reduced and demand is high, less pressure is available for everyone — especially in taller buildings where water must travel higher.
Water pressure in our area is controlled by the City of Montréal. Côte Saint-Luc cannot increase it, only reduce it when necessary. However, our Engineering Department is working closely with the City of Montréal, and we hope to see an improvement in network pressure by early next week.
Residents can help by reducing water use during peak demand hours, especially by avoiding garden hoses and irrigation systems when water usage is high.
