The Côte Saint-Luc Men’s Club has agreed to suspend all meetings and activities here and in Florida. While the club provides an important social connection, we believe it is in the best interest of its members and the community-at-large to avoid large gatherings.
Social distancing is a public health measure and includes things like event cancellations to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and keeping a distance from others. The CDC recommends a distance of 6 feet.
The city is reviewing what other programs and activities should be cancelled or changed in the coming weeks and months. We will also be in discussion with community groups and institutions that serve as a gathering place as they, too, following the guidance of public health authorities will have to consider how best to hold public events, if at all.
