Côte Saint-Luc, November 25, 2025—The Côte Saint-Luc Public Library is pleased to introduce its new bilingual Cognitive Care Kits, thoughtfully designed to support adults experiencing cognitive decline and to create meaningful moments of connection for caregivers.
This launch is coordinated across participating municipalities within the Suburban Libraries of the Island of Montreal (BBIM) network. Inspired by an initiative launched by the Pointe-Claire Library, this project is supported by the Bibliothèques des banlieues de l’Île de Montréal — a dynamic network of libraries from Montreal’s demerged cities that collaborates to enrich public services, foster innovation, and meet the specific needs of their communities.
About the Kits
Each kit is presented in a convenient, easy-to-carry bag and includes a selection of items that help stimulate the senses, memory, and creativity, such as:
- sensory boards
- musical instruments
- light sports equipment
- adapted logic games
- activity and exercise sheets
While some items may appear across multiple kits, each kit has its own unique personality.
Borrowing Information
Kits are available for four weeks and can be borrowed at the library’s service desk.
They may also be reserved online through the Côte Saint-Luc Public Library website.
