The Samuel Moskovitch Arena (6985 Mackle Road) has entered 2026 with significant upgrades that will be felt by thousands of skaters and families this winter, including a newly operated canteen, refreshed rental equipment in the Pro Shop, and faster digital entry access to reduce lineups.
More food options
Three vending machines offering snacks, beverages, and coffee offer around-the-clock service with payment by cash, card, or the PayRange app. A recent addition to the Arena is a new canteen, with additional food options. Canteen hours of operation may vary by programming; visitors are encouraged to check the Arena schedule or contact the arena directly for current service times.
Pro Shop: rentals, sharpening, and essentials in one place
The Arena Pro Shop continues to provide key services for public skating and hockey families, including skate and helmet rentals, walkers, and skate sharpening, plus a selection of skating and hockey essentials (laces, tape, guards, gloves, and more). It has recently added to its inventory with more sizes and higher-quality gear. In January 2026, the Pro-Shop rented 104 skates and 80 helmets, and performed 70 skate sharpenings. Pro Shop hours are Wednesday 4pm to 8pm; Friday 3pm to 5pm, 7pm to 9pm; Saturday 6:30pm to 10:30pm; Sunday noon to 4pm. Schedule subject to change.
Faster entry with digital membership access
To reduce lineup time during peak public skating periods, the City has been modernizing access using a digital membership credential. After registering for a Fun Card membership, users receive instructions to set up their credential on a smartphone. Entry is then completed by a quick tap/wave at a reader, allowing faster throughput at busy times.

Quotations
“Skating at the Samuel Moskovitch Arena is one of the most popular winter activities in Côte Saint-Luc. On any given day, you’ll see young families at public skate, minor hockey teams heading to practice, and long-term residents who have been skating here for decades. The Arena truly serves as a hub of community, and the demand for ice time shows just how valued it is. That’s why these upgrades matter so much. They will improve the experience for the many, many residents who rely on this facility every week, making visits smoother, more comfortable, and more enjoyable for everyone.” — Mayor David Tordjman
