The City of Côte Saint‑Luc will host the 2026 Golf Classic on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Meadowbrook Golf Course, 8370 Côte Saint‑Luc Road. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held on Tuesday, July 14.
This is the 45th year for the Golf Classic, one of the City’s longest-running summer events. The tournament brings together residents, volunteers, and sponsors to support local recreation programs.
This year’s honouree is Dida Berku, who recently retired after 35 years on Côte Saint‑Luc City Council.
The event is co‑chaired by Councillor Mike Cohen and Norm Goldfield of the Men’s Club, with help from Cornelia Ziga, Irene Lahaie, and Moe Giobbi of the Recreation Department.
The official sponsors are Marc Ezerzer and Hagai Brenner of KW Prestige Real Estate, and Steve Wexelman from Wexy on Wheels, a private driver service for airport and general transportation needs with multiple car seat options available.
Money raised from the event goes to the Parks and Recreation Bursary Fund. The fund helps families who face financial hardship and children with special needs sign up for City programs they might not otherwise be able to afford.
On the day of the event, the team from Pierre Brunet’s McDonald’s at the Côte Saint‑Luc Shopping Centre will greet golfers with coffee and snacks before tee‑off. Prizes will be given for longest drive and closest to the pin, in both male and female categories.
The cost to register is $35 per golfer. Golf cart rental is extra. Registration also includes an invite for two to a special banquet on September 14 at the Aquatic and Community Centre, 5794 Parkhaven Avenue. The evening will feature the awards and the unveiling of the cheque for the bursary fund, held alongside the City’s yearly Gardens of Distinction event.
Sign up for individuals or foursomes starts Monday, May 11 at the Aquatic and Community Centre, or by cheque with a completed form.
