The assault on a young woman wearing a hijab in Ottawa on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025 is appalling. Every person must be able to travel to work, school, or anywhere else without fear of being targeted for their faith or appearance. We stand in solidarity with the young woman, her family, and the Muslim community.
We hope Ottawa police will find the attacker and bring him to justice.
