On March 30, 2026, Hydro-Québec held a public information session for Côte Saint-Luc residents to discuss the upcoming construction works aimed at modernizing our local electricity network.
The meeting provided an in-depth look at the major project to rebuild the aging Hampstead substation into the new 315 kV Côte Saint-Luc substation. Hydro-Québec representatives explained the purpose of the project, which is designed to ensure improved capacity and reliable electricity service for our community for decades to come. The presentation also covered the project timeline, expected construction impacts (such as noise, vibrations, and truck traffic), the strict mitigation measures Hydro-Québec is implementing, and concluded with a resident Q&A.
While this is strictly a Hydro-Québec project, the City of Côte Saint-Luc is committed to keeping our community informed. To support this, the City provided the venue for the meeting, assisted in publicizing the event, and recorded the session to ensure accessibility for all residents.
If you were unable to attend the meeting or wish to review the details, the full video recording is now available on our YouTube channel.
