Alexandre Look Place naming ceremony
The City of Côte Saint-Luc will be naming the green space at the end of Kildare Road (near 6500 Kildare) in memory of Alexandre Look. The public is invited to attend this naming ceremony on Monday, Sept. 9 at 5pm.
Alexandre Look grew up in Côte Saint-Luc, attended Bialik High School. He attended the Supernova Music Festival in the Negev desert of southern Israel, when hundreds of rockets were fired from nearby Gaza in the early morning of October 7, 2023.
Alex demonstrated tremendous courage and selflessness as he tried to protect others when a terrorist tried to attack the bomb shelter where he and others were taking refuge. Using his body as a shield to save others, eight people survived due to his act of bravery.
