Municipal election - Public notice to sole owners of immovables, sole occupants of business establishments, undivided co-owners of immovables, and co-occupants of business establishments

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given by the undersigned, returning officer:

To sole owners of immovables and sole occupants of business establishments who are not already entitled to be registered on the electoral list as a domiciled person, you may be registered on the municipal electoral list for the present election if you meet the following conditions:

Be 18 years of age or older on polling day, November 2, 2025;
Be a natural person of Canadian citizenship on polling day and, on that date, not have lost your voting rights;
Be the sole owner of an immovable or the sole occupant of a business establishment on the territory of the city since at least September 18, 2025;
Have submitted an application for registration on the municipal electoral list to the City, at the address provided below, no later than October 20, 2025.

AND

To undivided co-owners of immovables, and co-occupants of business establishments who are not already entitled to be registered on the electoral list as a domiciled person, sole owner of an immovable or sole occupant of a business establishment, you may be registered on the municipal electoral list for the present election if you meet the following conditions:

Be 18 years of age or older on polling day, November 2, 2025;
Be a natural person of Canadian citizenship on polling day and, on that date, not have lost your voting rights;
Be the co-owner of an immovable or the co-occupant of a business establishment on the territory of the city since at least September 18, 2025;
Have been appointed by means of a power of attorney signed by the majority of the co-owners or co-occupants;
Have submitted this power of attorney to the City, at the address provided below, no later than October 20, 2025.

PLEASE NOTE:

Registration application or power of attorney forms submitted after the electoral list has been filed, but no later than October 20, 2025, will be considered as request to amend the municipal electoral list.

The application for entry on the list of electors or the power of attorney remains valid until it is replaced or withdrawn. If you want to replace or withdraw an existing application for entry or a power of attorney, please contact the returning officer.
