The City offers nine electric vehicle charging stations on its 6.96 km2 territory:
- 2 at the Bernard Lang Civic Centre (5801 Cavendish Boulevard)
- 1 at the the Aquatics and Community Centre (5794 Parkhaven Avenue)
- 4 at the Samuel Moskovitch arena – Coming in September 2022 (6985, Mackle Road)
- 2 on Baily Road near Fletcher Park – Coming in November 2022
These charging stations are part of the Electric Circuit network, which currently includes about 3,400 stations across Quebec. The rate for charging is $1 per hour, billed by the minute. For example, if a vehicle is connected to a station for three hours, charging will cost $3, even if the vehicle was completely charged after one hour.
Charging station locator and help-line
The Electric Circuit is the largest public charging network in Quebec. This major initiative implements the infrastructure required to support plug-in electric vehicles in Quebec. Electric Circuit users have access to a 24/7 telephone help-line run by CAA-Québec, as well as a charging-station locator service. The Electric Circuit website, theelectriccircuit.com, and the mobile app for iOS and Android are updated as new stations are commissioned. The Electric Circuit card also allows users to access the 150 Quebec charging stations of the FLO network (formerly the VERnetwork).
