Electrician

Workplace: 7001 Mackle Rd., City of Côte Saint-Luc. Parking is free.

Schedule: Variable

Salary: 36.59$/hour, according to the blue collar collective agreement. You will receive a raise every January.

Vacation and time off : After one year you will have, 2 weeks of paid vacation, 100 hours of sick days, 15 days of paid holidays and up to 5 days of mobile time off.

Profile required for this position

  •  Valid certificate of qualification for electrician, licence C (“Compagnon”)
  •  Some years of pertinent experience
  • Valid provincial drivers licence, class 5 (mandatory) and 3 (optional)
  •  Ability to work at different heights

Your role at the City

As a blue collar employee, you will make a real difference in providing excellent service to the citizens of the City of Côte Saint-Luc.

Principal function

Work involving the installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of various electrical wirings and equipment, various electrical systems and appliances used for street lighting and light signalling and traffic lights.

The work is carried out under general supervision. The employee receives it in the form of oral and written instructions, plans or diagrams. The employee is required to do, in accordance with the rules of the trade, the various tasks intended to provide buildings and other municipal buildings with pipes, wiring and electrical equipment appropriate to the needs, the public road of pipes, wiring and electrical appliances necessary for street lighting and signage on public roads or others. The employee must be able to locate and repair defects affecting electrical circuits or devices in these areas and ensure their proper functioning.
