The City of Côte Saint-Luc is a dynamic municipality on the island of Montreal with a population of approximately 33 000. The city prides itself on providing the highest level of services to its residents at a reasonable cost. The Côte Saint-Luc swim team is currently looking for Swimming Coaches. (for junior swimmers: 10 years and younger; and for senior swimmers: 11 years and older).
Role
Under the supervision of the Swim Teams Manager, coaches must mentor athletes and ensure their continued development so that their full potential is reached. The swim team is growing rapidly and currently has more than 200 athletes.
Key responsibilities
Plan daily training session
Coach, develop and prepare athletes
Accompany and chart each athlete’s progress during competitions
Actively participate in coaches meetings and team events
Perform other related tasks
Qualifications and education
NCCP Level 101 (Junior)
NCCP Level 102 (Senior)
Valid National Lifeguard Certificate
A minimum of two years of relevant experience
Ability to work in a team
Strong organization skills
Bilingual English / French, spoken and written
Salary and benefits
The offered salary is $ 16.50 per hour and can vary according to the experience
Schedule
Between 6 and 10 hours of work per week between September 2019 and June 2020 (Junior)
Between 15 and 20 hours of work per week between September 2019 and June 2020 (Senior)
