Recreation coordinator – Temporary (Maternity leave)

The City of Côte Saint-Luc is a dynamic municipality on the island of Montreal with a population of approximately 33,000. The City of Cote Saint Luc (Parks and Recreation Department) is seeking a full time Recreation Coordinator – Temporary (Maternity leave). Working as a member of the recreation management team reporting directly to the director of the department, a high level of organizational, communication and customer service skills are essential.

 

Qualifications:

  • Public/Municipal experience (recommended)
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in related field
  • Experience with customer service and administration
  • The candidate must have advanced computer skills in MS-Office (including PowerPoint) and Gmail, social media and website updating
  • The candidate must be organized, diplomatic, tactful, discrete and have the ability to work independently, as well as a member of a team
  • Knowledge of Team Management
  • Technology and social media savy (asset)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally and written) in both English and French
  • Flexible hours

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist and aid the Director of the department in a variety of tasks to include but not limited to, reports, stats, budgets, daily management.
  • Assist and aid wit e-mail volume, clientele issues, scheduling appointments and general daily operating for the director of the department can include assisting in meeting and minute taking
  • Assist and aid (when required) the Recreation Management team to operate in a more efficient and effective manner
  • Aid in the management of department goals and objectives
  • Aid in the implementation and research of new ideas to introduce to the department that will better serve the community
  • Responsible for the overseeing of the department’s account receivables.
  • Responsible for he overseeing and updating of Recreation marketing information, through the social media related links
  • Able to meet stringent deadlines, prioritize workload and manage multiple projects.
  • Oversee the record keeping of department staff training/conferences
  • Master filing/digital filing
  • Oversee the production of the bi annual Recreation Brochure

Report ability

  • This position will be reporting directly to de Director of the department.
