Open House for all at the Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library

Côte Saint-Luc, October 8, 2010 – On Sunday, October 17 from 10am to 5pm, the public can tour the Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library as part of an open house event.

Non-members and members are welcome to attend the open house, which also includes children’s crafts, face-painting, and balloon animals. Morning refreshments will be served and guided tours around the library are taking place every 15 minutes. Used books will also be for sale.

“The goal of the open house is to attract people who are not currently members and who don’t realize what a wonderful library we have,” said Councillor Sam Goldbloom, the council member responsible for library and culture.

Also on October 17, the Panadream Theatre is presenting a marionette show “Yorgo and the World” for children age 2 and older at 2pm. Tickets for this event are $5.

Les Bibliothèques publiques du Québec (B.P.Q.) is offering prizes in promotion of Quebec Public Libraries Week. People ages 12 to 26 who join the library or bring a friend to join have a chance to win an iPod Touch portable media player. Adults who join have a chance to win a $500 gift certificate from the Renaud-Bray bookstore.

Please call the library at 514-485-6900 or visit the web site at www.elcslpl.org for the schedule of activities.
