Ensemble Caprice in concert at the Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library

Ensemble CapriceCôte Saint-Luc, April 18, 2012 – Ensemble Caprice, one of Canada’s foremost early music ensembles,  will perform on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 7 pm at the Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library.

This concert, entitled Salsa Baroque, will feature baroque music of Latin America and Spain. Best described as a fusion of harmonies and rhythms of Europe and Africa blended with Amerindian nuances and styles, this concert promises to be full of lively music with distinctive Hispanic flavours.

Ensemble Caprice consists of many fine musicians, including Matthias Maute, Sophie Larivière on flutes and recorders, David Jacques on baroque guitar, Erin Helyard on harpsichord, Ziya Tabassian on percussion, and singers Esteli Gomez, Marie Magistry and Scott Belluz.  

This event is presented in partnership with Le Conseil des arts de Montréal en tournée.

Tickets for this program are $7 in advance and $10 the day of the event.
