Dance improv tournament takes centre stage in Côte Saint-Luc

Les ImprudansesCôte Saint-Luc, June 11, 2012Les Imprudanses, a Montreal dance league specializing in improvisation, will perform at the Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library on Father’s Day, June 17 at 2 pm.

Les Imprudanses is made up of Montreal contemporary dancers. Two teams at a time will compete in a dance duel by creating on-the-spot choreography according to specific criterion. Each team will attempt to outperform the other with dance moves. A referee will outline the dance sequences. A DJ will supply the music, helping create an unpredictable, dynamic show energized by interaction and the public’s vote.

The June 17 performance is the second stop of a six-city tour. People ages 9 and older are welcome to attend. This event is free of charge.

The event is presented in collaboration between the Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library and the Conseil des arts de Montréal en tournée.

The Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library is located at 5851 Cavendish Blvd. and is open from 10am to 10pm every day. For more information, call the library at 514-485-6900 or visit www.elcslpl.org.
