Vibrant large-scale oil paintings showcased in a new art exhibit in Côte Saint-Luc

Côte Saint-Luc, June 26, 2012 –The Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library is presenting a series of large-scale abstract oil paintings by Mirana Zuger entitled Bloodhorse from June 28 to August 12, 2012 in the library’s art gallery.

Material considerations play an important role in Mirana Zuger’s works, for example tennis table paint chalkboard and natural glues all serve to dictate the final look of each piece.

A prolific young artist, Zuger has developed a personal style within the field of abstract art. She continues to evolve from the most minimal to the very expressive. The artist says she titled her exhibit Bloodhorse because the tension of time, anticipation and release that inspired the paintings evoke “the energy of the racehorse as it is released from the starting-gate.”

Her works have been exhibited in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Zagreb, Croatia.
