Ten Côte Saint-Luc artists convene for a one-night-only group show

Ten local artists will convene for a one-night-only group art show on Wednesday, July 22 at 7 pm in the Harold Greenspon Auditorium at 5801 Cavendish Blvd.

The show is dubbed the Community Art Celebration and will feature all past exhibitors in the Community Art Space of the Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library, the organizer of this event.

“This is a very talented group of photographers, painters, printmakers, and artists in mixed media,” said Councillor Mike Cohen, who is the council member responsible for library and culture.

This is the first event of its kind to be presented by the library, with the goal of highlighting the multi-talented residents of Côte Saint-Luc.

“The quality of art made by Côte Saint-Luc residents is astounding,” said Justin Burnham, the library coordinator responsible for the Community Art Space. “Currently there is no venue to fully appreciate the variety of our local talent, so we’re trying to change this by bringing a number of artists together in one place.”

The library is eager to display this wide selection of artwork and sees this as a great opportunity for artists to meet, share their passion, and celebrate their love of the arts.

“The artists are looking forward to exhibiting their works and meeting many friends, neighbours, fellow artists, and art lovers who will join them for this event,” said Ron Novolker, a nature photographer who will be exhibiting his work.
