Arena and ACC to re-open by reservation starting Friday, February 26, 2021

Following new lockdown rules from the Quebec government, the Samuel Moskovitch Arena and the Aquatic and Community Centre, or ACC, will re-open for visits by reservation-only for the period starting Friday, February 26, 2021. 

The reservation system will open on Tuesday, February 23 at noon so that residents of Côte Saint-Luc can reserve ice time at the arena, and swimming time at the ACC indoor pools. To register, visit CoteSaintLuc.org/registeronline

ACC details 

Residents will be able to book a time slot at the ACC pools. The first time slot is 6:30am and the final time slot starts at 6:15pm. The Competition Pool will be open for lap swim. The Recreation Pool will be open for leisure swim. Residents can only make reservations for their own household. After each reservation, staff will disinfect the facilities. Guests must arrive dressed to swim. The lockers and showers will not be available. Patrons will exit through the locker room in order to change into their dry clothes. Patrons can book up to one reservation per day, and up to three reservations per week. Patrons must wear masks at all times, except when in the pool. Patrons must respect the 2 metre distancing guidelines while in the Recreation Pool and on deck. 

Arena details 

Residents will be able to book 45-minute time slots at the arena for open-skate and public figure skating. The first time slot is 9am, and the final time slot starts is 5:45pm. A maximum of 25 people are permitted on the ice at the same time during open-skate. A maximum of 20 people are permitted on the ice at the same time during public figure skating. Patrons must wear masks at all times, even when on the ice. Chaperones are permitted and can watch from the stands. 

Outdoor ice rink details 

The Confederation Annex refrigerated ice surface at Pierre Elliott Trudeau park will be open for puck and stick play starting Friday, February 26 with two separate groups, consisting of 8 players each. No contact is permitted and 2-metre distance must be respected according to Quebec rules. To reserve puck and stick ice time, visit CoteSaintLuc.org/outdoor-rinks. Open-skate will be available without a reservation between noon and 3pm. Patrons are strongly recommended to wear masks on the ice. 

Other city facilities 

The Côte Saint-Luc Public Library remains closed for visits, but continues the No-Contact Pickup Service and virtual activities. The City Hall reception desk and Urban Planning and Permits desk are closed until Friday, February 26. The City will announce later when these service counters will re-open by reservation. Other municipal buildings and offices will be closed to the public, however all staff are responding to questions by telephone and e-mail. We also offer many online services, including construction permit applications, long-time and short-term on-street parking permits, online verification of property tax bills, and more. City Council meetings continue to be livestreamed over YouTube

Virtual programming 

The Côte Saint-Luc Public Library (www.csllibrary.org) and the Parks and Recreation Department (www.cotesaintluc.org/events) offer many virtual services delivered over Zoom, produce a daily 2pm call-to-listen program for those without computers, and have available an archive of past events and programming at YouTube (www.cotesaintluc.org/recvideoswww.cotesaintluc.org/libraryvideos).
