Aquatic and Community Centre

When visiting the ACC and using the pools, the following protocol is to be respected. Updated, October 8, 2020. 

ACC building access

  • Entrance: Patrons must enter the building by the main entrance located at 5794 Parkhaven.  
  • Exit: Patrons must exit the building using the Trinity Ave. exit door located at the end of the hallway (near the staircase) The exit is indicated with signs and arrows. 

Upon arrival, patrons will be asked health questions, show proof of residency and will have to wash their hands. 

A face coverage must be worn at all times. Alternatives to face coverings, such as a paper towel or scarf, are not allowed. 

The previous group must exit the building before the next group can enter.


Pools and locker rooms

Swimming reservations required

Locker rooms  

  • Lap swimmers must use the gender specific locker rooms 
  • Recreational pool swimmers must use the family locker rooms. 
  • Showers, changing stalls, dryers and lockers are not available (patrons will bring their belongings to a designated spot on the pool deck) 
  • Patrons have15 minutes to exit the facility after their swimming session 

Lap swim (Competition pool) 

  • One (1) person per lane; members from the same household may not share a lane 
  • Patrons may only book one session at a time; can no longer hang out on pool deck for the next session; must clear the building 
  • Maximum 3 sessions per week (week is Sunday – Saturday) 
  • If a patron does not present themselves within 10 minutes of their session start time, they forfeit their swim time and a walk-up patron may take their place. 

Recreation pool

  • Patrons must respect 2 metre distancing guideline while in the pool. 
  • Maximum capacity 10. 
  • Patrons must stagger their entrance/exit; lifeguards supervise this 
  • Patrons must use the family changing room only. 
  • Maximum 3 sessions per week. 
  • If a patron does not present themselves within 10 minutes of their session start time, they forfeit their swim time and a walk-up patron may take their place.

(except on Thanksgiving Monday, Oct. 12, when the pool will be open from noon to 6 pm). 

  • 6:30 am to 7: 30 am  
  • 8 am to 9 am  
  • 9:30 am to 10:30 am 
  • 11 am to 12 pm  
  • 12: 30 pm to 1:15 pm  
  • 1:45 pm to 2:30pm  
  • 3 pm to 3:45 pm  
  • 4:15 pm to 5 pm  
  • 5:30 pm to 6:15 pm  
  • 6:45 pm to 7:30 pm  
  • Monday: Women’s swim:  8 pm to 8:45 pm  
  • Wednesday: Men’s swim: 8 pm to 8:45 pm
