A memorial commemoration for the late Ruth Kovac, Côte Saint-Luc City Councillor, will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at 7 pm at the Bernard Lang Civic Centre in the Council Chamber.
Mayor Mitchell Brownstein, members of the City Council, and senior staff will speak at the memorial. The public is invited to attend, where there will be an opportunity to share their thoughts and sign the condolence book. Councillor Kovac passed away on October 1, 2019.
“Ruth was a dear friend and colleague to so many of us and the last few weeks have been difficult,” Mayor Mitchell Brownstein said. “The memorial commemoration will allow us to come together and share stories about an exceptional person who had a big impact on our community.”
Following the memorial commemoration, there will be a Special City Council at 7:45 pm and the regular monthly meeting of the City Council at 8 pm.
