Robocall message: security update

The City of Côte Saint-Luc issued an alert message by phone, SMS text message, and e-mail on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 7pm. If you missed the message or are not subscribed, listen to the message here or read a transcript below. To sign up to receive alerts visit the sign up page.

This is Mayor Brownstein.

I know you have likely been deeply affected by the images you have seen on the new since the mass murders in Israel on October 7.

Côte Saint-Luc is home to people from all over the world. And many have come to Canada to escape terrible violence. In speaking with many residents from many communities over the past few days, I know how united we are.

Our main priority in the coming days and weeks will be on security issues. More patrols by Public Security. More patrols by the Montreal police department, although the police special task force estimate the risk level very low.

You can help, too. If you see something, say something. What that means is call 9-1-1 if you see anything suspicious. That’s what 9-1-1 is for. Use it.

We are all in this, together. We will get through, together.
