Nettoyeur Jack in operation since the spring of 2018 at the strip mall on Westminster Avenue, corner of Mackle, is being recognized as the Spotlight on Local Merchants in Côte Saint-Luc for April 2023.
This is a family operation, run by Rupinder Deol and his parents Jack Deol and Goldie Brar. Jack and his brother Roop Deol ran the same kind of business in NDG for over 30 years.
Rupinder, 37, joined the business when they debuted on Westminster Avenue. Besides the standard clothing standard, they can clean wedding gowns, leather, Uggs boots and carpets. They also have a tailoring service on the spot. “We pick up and deliver for orders over $80,” says Rupinder.
Councillor Mitch Kujavsky said that he had a nice pair of pants sitting around the house for a year. He took a walk to Nettoyeur Jack. It needed a seam fixed. “I brought the pants in and they did a very thorough examination,” he said. “Four hours later I got a call that they were ready, and it was a mere $7.”
