For many Canadians, the new year has brought the unbearable news of the loss of their family and friends aboard Ukrainian International Airlines Flight 752 in Tehran on January 8. The Canadians lost in this tragedy were, in many cases, returning home after visiting grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends in Iran.
